A trip through a multitude of musical and sound practices from different regions of the African continent: From Egypt to South Africa via Benin, and beyond, in some of its diasporas, including in the United States.
Senses as memory tools
The selection ofinstruments, sound archives and contemporary installations proposed seeks to transmit knowledge, emotions and allow to remember.
This exhibition marks a new chapter for the MEG, by proposing a museography based on a sensory approachwhich gives a central place to sound perception and time of listening.
