The Prix de l’Agraisanat 2025 distinguishes the seamstress, creator and fashion designer Laurence Imstepf | City of Geneva

Trained at the Haute École d’Art et de Design (HEAD) in Geneva, Laurence IMSTEPF launched in 2008 her own brand of female clothes that she produces herself, Mademoiselle L.

Far from the shackles of seasonal collections, Mademoiselle L is distinguished by an innovative concept of Annual collection covering all seasons: From February to November, she reveals a new outfit every month. This approach also reflects a ethical commitment. Sensitive toEnvironmental impact of fashionLaurence IMSTEPF favors European raw materialsfrom dormant stocks or selected for their sustainability. In her shop, she also sells pieces of young local creators, and engages in different projects to promote a fashion that values ​​crafts and local innovation.

For Christiane Murner, president of the jury, Laurence Imstepf “brilliantly embodies the face of the craftsmanship of tomorrow: daring, visionary and committed. It represents a source of inspiration for a whole new generation.” Important values ​​also for the City of Geneva, which participated in the jury alongside craftsmen, craftsmen as well as people representing the Canton of Geneva, the Cantonal Office for Vocational and Continuing Training, and the Cantonal Bank of Geneva.

Crafts Prize for Geneva municipalities
