Born in Geneva and based in New York,, Carol Bove (1971) is known worldwide for his works that play with the notions of modernism, abstraction and art historyby reinterpreting the classic forms and questioning their place in the contemporary world.

For his carte blanche at Mah, the artist explores the museum collection and traces, like a time line,, 15,000 years of Geneva history By highlighting the evolution of the use of objects and by questioning museum spaces.

City metamorphoses

Presented in chronologically, works are part of different, creative, anthropological, interactive and educational approaches. Between ancient artifacts, masterpieces and usual objects, his curatorial proposal revisits the museum space by blurring the boundaries between art and everyday object. An invitation to touch, feel and observe differently to redefine our relationship to art at the museum.
